About Face Guidelines for Alert Level Two

At the heart of our business is you, our amazing clients. We are so looking forward to seeing you in clinic very soon. With the move to Level 2, we wanted to reassure you on what we are doing to keep both you and our therapists safe.  

OUR HYGIENE PRACTICES

If you know us, you know we are Serious About Skin, and we are just as serious when it comes to our health and safety practices.

At About Face, we are maintaining our high standards and adding in some additional measures to keep all of us safe and well during Alert Level 2:   

Clients

Clients by way of their confirmation booking email, will be asked to practice social distancing whilst in reception.
Clients are advised to only arrive as early as required for their appointment.
Clients will be advised by way of their booking confirmation that they must come to the appointments alone – no guests will be allowed in the waiting room or front of store.
Asking clients to check in via the Official NZ Tracer App displayed on the outside of the clinic. This is required, even if clients are just picking up product. We will also be asking all clients to check or update their contact details with us.
All employees, clients and contractors including delivery personnel, are required to sanitise their hands upon entry and exit. We have Automated Sanitising Spray Units located at the front of our clinics for ease of use.
For any paper work or information you may need to write down and take with you, we ask for clients to bring their own pen.

In Clinic

Daily COVID-19 check-in meetings and updates with the team
Staggering appointments to avoid congestion and to adhere to social distancing rules.
When browsing products, our team will be on hand to guide clients through their product selection rather than our clients touching products.
Automated hand sanitiser sprays located at the entry of the clinics, for client and staff use upon entry and exit.
Water or tea will not be available in clinic during this time.
As a requirement, all our staff will be wearing PPE, including front of store members.
All bedding replaced between appointments.
Cleaning of all metal tools with alcohol wipes and sterilised between clients.
Spraying all plastic tools and brushes with alcohol, then placing these into a UV sanitation cabinet between clients.
Use of disposable tools where practical.
Thorough and regular cleaning/sanitising of our equipment and surfaces at the start, throughout, between clients and end of day.
All laundry completed on a hot wash cycle.
The removal of all magazines and brochures that multiple clients could come into contact with.

To safeguard and protect the health and well-being of our clients and staff, please listen to your body. If you are unsure at all about whether to come in or not, we encourage you to stay home and look after yourself.  We want to ensure you are kept safe and in good health during this time. We will work our magic and find the next best available appointment that suits both of us, so we can keep those skin ambitions on track!

Please also don’t be offended when we ask to check and update your personal contact details in our system. Whilst we are using the official NZ Covid Tracer App, ensuring your contact details are correct in our system is an added step in the required contract tracing protocols.
