What is IPL?
IPL is a safe and effective treatment that uses flashes of light to rejuvenate your skin, reduce unwanted hair and remove red veins.
Who does the treatments?
At About Face, only senior skin therapists with extensive experience and in-depth IPL training are authorized to perform IPL treatments. Our specialist skin therapists and electrologists are more qualified to recognise changes in the skin and understand the hair growth cycle, than the specialist nurses who perform IPL hair removal at some outlets.
Is all IPL equipment the same?
No, different makes of machine are quite different in power output, speed of treatment and, most importantly effectiveness of results. We use leading-edge Ellipse and Quantum IPL equipment to ensure we deliver the very best results possible.
IPL FOR SKIN REJUVENATION
What is skin rejuvenation?
As time goes by, the effects of ageing and environment begin to show up on the surface of your skin. When this happens, you develop fine lines and your skin begins to sag.
IPL is one of the most effective treatments for removing pigmentation. It can also remove diffused redness and red spider veins, leaving your skin younger and fresher.
IPL also stimulates the cells responsible for producing collagen, thereby improving the texture of your skin, refining the size of your pores and diminishing the appearance of fine lines.
It is ideal for the face, neck and chest and also for the backs of the hands.
How many treatments will I need?
Although you will have more radiant skin after only one skin rejuvenation treatment, you’ll get optimum results after a series of three or more treatments,
IPL FOR HAIR REMOVAL
IPL is the fastest and most effective way to control unwanted hair. Results are excellent for the removal of dark hair on the face, back, chest, underarm, leg or bikini line.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you will need depends on the colour and thickness of your hair. Three or more are commonly necessary.
An initial consultation is required so that we can explain the treatment, review your medical history, perform a patch test, estimate the cost of your treatment and answer any questions.
